Sunday 24.04.05 @ 06.35am

Yesterday - What a nice sunny day it turned out to be! Some clouds about in the evening and a very light rain shower at dusk, but there was a full moon up there somewhere?
Today - Dawned beautiful! Nice hot sun already shining on the beach, not a cloud in the big blue sky. Flat calm sea, no breeze and very little shore break.
Long may it last!!!

Monday 25.04.05 @ 05.50am

Yesterday - Another nice and sunny day!
Today - A nice dawn with the early sun coming up. Some odd clouds about but in general there's 90% clear blue sky.
Sea is very flat and calm and the biggest shore break is less than 1 foot! A lovely day.

Tuesday 26.04.05 @ 06.00am

Yesterday - It stayed a nice sunny day for most of the time although there was the odd passing cloud during the afternoon.
We had a short but heavy rainstorm at 10.45pm and some light shower during the night but it was all dried up by morning.
I believe the sea stayed as flat as my pool all day - didn't need your water wings then Chris?
Today - Dawned rather dull and overcast. Huge banks of black cloud out at sea and on the horizon. Breeze has picked up a bit now, 08.00am, and the cloud cover is around 75%. Hopefully the sun will burn through later?
Sea is still flat calm!!

Wednesday 27.04.05 @ 06.15am

Yesterday - Hot, sunny but a bit sticky and becoming overcast during the afternoon. The winds did blow though.
Today - Dawned dull and overcast with only the very smallest patches of blue sky. A few spots of rain at 06.15am and again at 07.15am but not enough to even wet the ground.
Sea is flat calm with less than 2 feet of shore break along Bozo Beach end of the bay.

Thursday 28.04.05 @ 06.05am

Yesterday - Remained rather dull and overcast with some brighter spells. The winds were offshore so lots of moans from the windsurfers.
Today - Dawned reasonably bright but with some high cloud cover. This developed around 06.35am and the sky became cloudy and dull with only the smallest bits of blue. Now 07.50am and the clouds are clearing a little and the sun is burning through. A bit of a breeze developing too.
Sea is very flat and ultra calm! Very low tide so lots of beach today.

Friday 29.04.05 @ 06.00am

Yesterday - The skies cleared up and the sun came out. A very nice and warm day.
Today - A nice dawn with some scattered clouds but these soon cleared to provide blue sky and a warm sun. Cuurrently though there are a few darker clouds coming in and it could become overcast for a while? (08.25am).
Sea is once again flat calm.
Hey it's raining at 08.40am!! The sun keeps on trying to shine through but those dark clouds are still looming!

Saturday 30.04.05 @ 06.15am

Yesterday - The rain did come!! At around 09.30am-10.00am it hissed down, proper tropical stuff, but it soon cleared up and the sun came out to dry up all the rain. The remainder of the day stayed sunny and bright with overcast periods. In the evening the winds increased and it looked as if it would rain again, but nothing happened.
Today - A reasonably nice dawn with the usual clouds around but these are clearing now and the sun is up.
Sea is relatively calm with around 2 feet of shore break along the bay.

Yesterday - sunny and bright for most of the day with some odd cloudy moments.
Today - Nice dawn with early sun. Clear skies, sunny and bright. Slight breeze but no winds!
Sea is relatively calm again.

Thursday 05.05.05 @ 2.35pm

Been out of town again - just back.......
Cloudy it was in Santo Domingo this morning but once over the mountains from Moca the sky cleared and the sun is out.
What a nice day back in Cabarete, blue skies and nice warm sun. Quite windy too!
See you on the beach at 6.15am tomorrrow morning?

What a nice day! Clear blue sky, very little clouds about, warm early sunshine.
There is a slight breeze already so no doubt the windsurfers/kiters will have their fingers crossed for some decent winds later.
Sea is calm with only a 2-3 feet shore break in places.

My husband and I are heading to viva tangerine on May 15 to celebrate
out 25th wedding anniverssary. First trip ever without our girls (19 and 16).

I have read many 10day forecasts and it always shows cloudy and rain.

Your reports sound a whole lot better.

Saturday 07.05.05 @ 06.15am & 10.20am

Sorry late again - damn PC playing up!
Nervous - don't be nervous, the weather will be what the weather will do! You'll get tons of sun, nice breezes and have a great time. Pop out and chat any morning on the beach right outside your hotel, me an old baldy headed, bearded, with glasses git with 2 white dogs - always passing arond 06.30am. Remember that I only report the weather and do not predict it.

Yesterday - Nice and sunny with good winds until later in the day and the early evening when it sarted to become overcast. Some distant thunder and lightning off to the south around 10.00pm but no rain!

Today - early dull and heavy and overcast. No wind, not even a breath. Now later in the day and the sky has cleared and the sun has come out. Still a bit of cloud out to the west though?
Sea was a little rougher this morning with a larger 3 foot shorebreak along Bozo Beach.

Sunday 08.05.05 @ 07.00am

Yesterday - it remained quite sunny for most of the day but turned a little dull and overcast in the late afternoon. It was quite a humid and sticky day too and this lasted into the evening. There was a short light shower of rain around 8.00pm, enough to wet the ground but this soon cleared up. There was the distant thunder and lightning bit too.
Today - dawned quite overcast and dull, even looked like it might rain but my beach walk remained dry. The sun did come up and burn off the early cloud but it became very hazy, sticky and heavy again. At around 10.00am it has again become duller and overcast, with some sunny spells.
Sea is a bit rougher with some surf out on the reef, very little shore break in the bay but up to 1.3 metres along Bozo Beach.

Monday 09.05.05 @ 06.10am

Yesterday - remained dull, hazy and overcast with some sunny spells. There were some prolonged spots of rain over Cabarete but nothing heavy, although it was a bit more at La Rinconada to the East and only 2 Km away!
There was some heavier rain during the night.
Today - Partially red sky at dawn with plenty of high cloud about. This cleared for a little while but there was a huge bank of very heavy black rain clouds out at sea and some more clouds to the South over the hills. Currently it's intermittent clouds and sun. Air was a lot cooler this morning.
Sea is okay with up to 1 metre of shore break along the beach.

Tuesday 10.05.05 @ 06.05am

Yesterday - remained intermittently overcast and sunny periods. Wind did pick up a little bit later in the day. The sea had some large rollers at times.
Today - Huge black clouds and some rain way out over the horizon. High clouds over Cabarete with 60% blue sky just after dawn. Now the sun is up and the clouds are still about but there is blue sky up there too.
Sea is a litle rougher with some surf out on the reef but surprisingly there is little shore break in the bay in comparison.

Wednesday 11.05.05 @ 06.00am

Yesterday - The morning remained clearer with some overcast spells. There were a couple of times when we had very localised spots of rain, nothing serious though. Later in the day the weather became duller and more overcast and there were some stormy type winds. In the evening it worsened slightly and then we had some rain with thundery moments.
This morning dawned dull and very overcast and then at 06.00am it bucketed down! Still raining prolonged and heavy at 07.40am. Sky is totally dull and overcast and we could be in for a spell of rain all morning by the look of it?
Sea is rougher again with a bigger swell. Some surf way out on the reef but hard to see as the rain blocks out the view. Shore break up to 1.5 metres in places.
Midday Update:
Rain heavy rain and more incessant rain!! Not liking that!!!
It hasn't stopped since this morning and it's chilly for us locals as well.

Thursday 12.05.05 @ 06.00am

Yesterday did not improve even though the rain held off in the afternoon and later. In the evening it poured down again! Seems to have been a dry night though with cooler temperatures.
This morning dawned dull and overcast with only a very few bright spots in the sky. Huge darker clouds out over the sea horizon. Still grey and overcast at 07.30am.
Sea is a little calmer today but still some shore break up to 1.2 metres in places. Lots of washed up debris on the beach so no doubt the rivers to the East have been running high with all the rain we've had. Nice time to go hunt bits of Amber at La Boca de la Yassica?

Friday 13.05.05 @ 06.30am

FRIDAY THE 13th!!
Yesterday - Brain is going rusty, having trouble remembering what it did?
Seems to have been generally dull and overcast for most of the day with some brighter spells and some minor light rain at times. In the evening and around 11.00pm it poured with rain again.
Today - still wet all around at dawn! Some prolonged spotty drizzly rain since then and every where wet and damp and miserable.
Still raining at 08.30am! **#*#**!!
Sea is much calmer with little to no shore break at all.
Beach walk was a lonely event today, don't know what's wrong with people? Skin is waterproof ain't it?

Saturday 14.05.05 @ 06.00am

Yesterday - it rained a lot! Drizzly, dull and overcast all day. In the late evening it poured down, again!
Today - Very dull and overcast, damp with a few spots of rain on and off so far. Not looking good for the rest of the day really?
Sea is flat with little to no shore break today.
