Seems to be the track... Mike says so.... looks like 6:30 - 7:30 to get to Cabrera and Cabo Frances

That means maybe midnit for cabarete/Sosua....

Is that the 'wunderground' website you see..... w/ the directional arrows?

Thanks WW! I'll be keeping an eye on those radars. We (myself, plus one husband, 4 dogs, 1 cat and a donkey!) are in for the evening now anyway so I guess we'll just wait and see what happens.

Sosua and cabarete ,
Now getting heavy rain and gusty winds about 20kts for the last ten minutes and very dark cloud in the direction of Cabarete. Intermitent power outages at present but mainly short.

Hi board, I recently spent 5 days in Punta Cana shooting commercials for a hotel. I am headed back to Punta Cana tomorrow for 5 days with my wife. Back in May the weather was great and I didn't mind the rain storms at all... This time there's a tropical storm obviously traveling over the DR today.

My question is, what do you think the weather will be like from 8/23 - 8/28. Our friend from Puerto Rico thinks the weather might be really nice since the Tropical Storm will take most of the moisture out of the air.

Power went off for about 10 minutes and came back on, orange internet is not really flying at the moment.
Since we do not have invertor, bathtub is filled with water because no power is no water either and I filled the living room with lots of candles. Dogs are running outside, find the cooler temperature very nice.

WW - Of course I can look at the Radar and I am actually here and not some thousands of miles away !
How are they doing - what is really happening ! Winds, Rain , Lightning - etc

In Punta Cana we have had steady rain for at least the past hour or so. It was intermittent earlier, now it is a steady rain. Windy but not violently so.
