diario libre comes with the advice how to act before, during and after hurricane:

the government is getting ready...
they have to empty teh Dams down to the minimum necessary level of course, urgently.
Irma is a record Storm, we can name it the Perfect Storm, as we never had such powers out there in my over 20 years on the Isle.
the water loads will come down accordingly.
good thing is the fast forward speed, let her keep the fast lane, push the throttle Baby.
Irma is already on 185mphr and the central pressure keeps dropping.
as long as it doesn't stop itself with a eyewall replacement, so long this Storm will not stop to grow on windpowers and size of waterloads spreading out.
it's windfield for sent out Tropical Storm Force should grow further compared to prior predictions,
the Hurricane Center Force should be too strong to reach far from the Core.
even close, I don't think the DR will receive Hurrican Force winds anywhere,
but high scale TS-Force along the northshores, yes, for a long time period.
Punta Cana is still out of the game for TS Force windspeeds, but we have to see how the TS-Windfield grows, as this Storm is not done, it is powering up and does so extremely quick.
Irma is doing everything record styled quick, like it went in less than 12hrs from TS Force to Major Hurricane Force at the beginning. it shows perfect engenieuring.
the Storm centers now on 16.9N and climbing, it keeps turning as predicted, exactly what the greater Antilles need.
Irma's closest approoach to the Eastern Cape, my homesoil,
is awaited to happen Thursday morning before sunrise, it should be positioned north of the Mona Passage then.
Irma is carrying 2 far away rainbands ahead of the Storm/to it's West.
the first of those is already over Puerto Rico, so some parts of our Island can receive first lighter rainfalls very soon/this evening today. from there on it should go on and off in a soft manner first til the mainforce of rain starts the raindance.
due that I canceled with the teacher my daughters school for tomorrow. i am not in the mood to have the Princess at school and then have to get her home in darn rain. this week school is over now.
little hint for people who are on laptops, like myself:
keep it connected, so the battery is fully charged all the time.
the moment your pwoer goes out, shut down your laptop and use your cellphone.
i have also extra accu packs for the smartphone and once all are emptied i charge everything on the shut down laptop, the laptop battery gives many cellphone charges without power for reloading.
if all goes down, then of course the laptop gets charged in the running car, thats in case we would be for days without power.
as all sure already saw, Troical Storm Jose it up and running and it also is a not bad running early quick developer.
Tracking is unimportant at this moment, because the Highway is in the wake of Irma completely messed up in a way we never had it before, so there are no knowledges about experiences with such conditions and their effects.
basically both Storms wander steered solely by our strong Easterly Tradewinds, which shoudl keep both powers on a 12-15mphr forward speed. a slowdown due interaction with land and/or due a eyewall replacement is impossible to calculate, it can and may not efect the speed significantly.
as such Storms hate High pressure zones and get attracted by Low Pressure Forces,
we can await that Jose will move more northwards first and then get pulled more Westwards into the Low Wake of Irma,
but such is assumption and can come out finally completely different.
there are no indicators why Jose should not come close to the NE area of the Islands, it's most likely destin.
if t curves out to open Sea from there depends on positioning of the Hig's and Low's over the Atlantic and Caribbean Sea at the time of it's arrival.
there is actually no forecast for such, so we will look on that by the weekend, once the electricity is up to do so comfy on a laptop, lol.
make sure to bring your cattle in timely tomorrow, you won't like to do preparations in case you are in an area where the first bands start to drizzle down.
