I don't see where I insulted you, but please accept my apology.
Apology accepted.
Are you the same guy who is screaming property rights, but feel that owners who AirBnB their property are messing things up?
Sounds like shilling for big developers and hating on the little guy (offense intended).
When you write a response to my post, you are responding directly to me and me alone.
When I write a sweeping statement about everyone, only those who see themselves in my statement take issue.
I'm not over simplifying anything, but it's just that simple. It's about private property rights. The beach vendors don't own the land they built on. Nobody is vilifying them, but they don't have a lot of rights in this case except to be treated decently.
And yes you are over simplifying. Because you choose to focus on property rights without looking at the overall picture.
This is not a court of law. This is real life.
So lets take a look at what the government is doing.
Clearing out the beach venders after (how many years)?
For what purpose?
Is that purpose in the interest of the public?
Sosua beach is a public beach.
Looks to me like the government is using it weight to make things pretty for another big developer.
So using the power of the government
To improve a public asset.
To make it more palatable for development for the owners of the private property.
Completely legal.
Who benefits from that?
Scream property rights all you want.
Yes you will win in a court of law.
But, this is the court of DR1 opinion.
No way for you to win here. LOL!
