sponsorship to canada....process postings from start to finish
If you are in Canada which I know you are then you are the sponsor and your wife is the applicant because she is applying for the Canadian permanent residency visa.
You were the applicant when you filled in the application for sponsor which went to Mississauga.

Did you send in the Use of Representative form - that would designate you as your wife's representative? If you did not, then they can not respond to you.
We sent in the form after the original application was sent - but I wasn't taking any chances. That is why I had my husband send the message. As he is the applicant they can give him information regarding his application.
That could be why they did not respond to you. Or maybe like a lot of things you just never know why they respond quickly to one person and never to another person. BTW they have never responded to me - even when I asked for confirmation that they received our Use of Representative form designating me as his representative. I also sent a message to clarify their letter to my husband regarding the civil documents. We sent the documents any way - I just wanted a response from them to add to my file and they never bothered to respond to that one either.
I mailed our app. in November - so we have just passed the 8 month mark and still nada de nada.

we didn't send the representative form either, does that means that my husband can not ask for help to the mp? just in case we need him. Because if the embassy do not contact me in this week as they said, we are considering to contact the mp.

your husband can certainly contact his MP. I guess because it is government to government they can share the confidential information.
I contacted my MP in April and with only our names and birth dates they were able to ascertain that they had received his application (website has never been updated under my name).
And in a shocking and wonderful development I contacted my MP last Friday to see if they could get a status update. Haiti emailed back this morning stating that they are ready to issue his visa. All they need is for him to bring the passport to Santo Domingo. They said that they wrote to him - but he has not received this letter as of yet.
My MP faxed me a copy of the email which I will scan and email to my husband so that he can bring it with him to Santo Domingo rather than wait for the letter from Haiti to show up one day in the mail.
I guess my Murphy's Law kicked in - I have a non-refundable ticket to go in September via Buffalo lol. Of course now it will be the waiting game to see how long it takes them to send the passport back to Santo Domingo

Thanks everyone!!! We'll see if they torture us as much as Mart and her husband and take a month to put the visa in it. He's off on Thursday so he will make the trip to Santo Domingo then.

the problem is that he would need a visa to enter the US and not just transit through an airport. I'm not sure what I will do with the ticket. I looked at changing it but I would have to pay any applicable price difference and the only time it's the same price is on my original travel dates lol. So I still have to figure out what I'm going to do. I had been saving this last week of vacation so I could go down spend a week and then come back with him. I so want to see him on a plane for the first time

Have you heard back to find out which medical test you need to take yet? I hope you find out soon so that you can get them what they need so you can get your visa too
no, i haven't heard anything. and it so estrange cause i don't have any disease and the medical are not expire either. i keep thinking :
a)maybe the laboratory in the clinic i went ( pto plata) did something wrong...
B) they want to do extra test since i was doing the internship in a public hospital last year..
C) it is just another way to make us loose time
i will let you know when i get something.

I did not realize that you were going through the states.. Well this Thursday will be two weeks since we went to Santo Domingo, and the lady also told Jose that it would be two weeks. So crossing our fingers they call him this Thursday. But mart went through the same thing, they told her husband two weeks too.
