Here and there
Dominicans deported from the USA upon their arrival in the country. Lets pretend for a moment that some of them had minor children, properties, etc in the USA. Afterall, it's evident the presence of children and large boxes carrying their stuff.

I guess the DR should copy the USA, which is the country the UN is in.

Oh wait...
What's this got to do with the OP, or my post, or mountainannie's? Why keep bringing up the US?

Probably because a great deal of the criticism for how the DR runs rheir immigration comes from American politicians, American NGOs or pro-open border organizations. It is mainly American calling for tourist boycotts....etc. Pointing out American hypocracy is fair game.

I'll wait for the person I directed the questions to to answer "but thanks for playing"

And why is that ❓
My best guess would be is they have no skills. My kid is a perfect example. Almost 20 but no HS diploma and no hope to get one. He has studied privately and can speak 4 languages but that's his only skill. The people I know in Haiti don't even have that. The one guy I do know with a diploma has no real skill set.

What this means is that as soon as they enter any country, the immediately go on the dole and remain there for probably 3 - 5 years until they can be productive. I seriously doubt that anyone wants that.

D'Arcy, you find the man (or group of men) bankrolling Barbecue and his G-9, and there you will find the real power governing Haiti, and nowhere else.
No actually @D'Arcy (Apostropheman) does not need to find them.

All of the state actors that have something to say about what post #1 of this thread is about needs to find them.
Then maybe one of those elected/appointed geniuses can solve or deal with the problem like as it needs to be dealt (with men that have excellent gun control).
Leave them dead in the street...mouth full of blood and a soul full of heat.

Quite right. I was merely providing more accurate information when others posted that there was no government in Haiti, which is not the case.

I would bet that IF a coalition of countries and organizations as proposed by OUR Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau that the whereabouts of the criminals causing much of the current issues in Haiti will be dealt with. Hopefully, as MYmaninvegas suggests. ;)

You are dealing with what ifs, while I'm dealing with practical realities on the ground, and said realities say that as long as the state actors in this drama fail to grow a pair and act, mr. Barbecue will remain being as de facto head of state and not monsieur Henry, and in this I must say he is following Haitian politico-military tradition, so to speak, since regular transmission of power over there have been peaceful only a handful of times (that you can count with the fingers of your hands) ever since the revolution of 1791.
