And just like that, another rum day has opened up on the Dominican's full plate calendar of punch and drunk
Eso es la dulce vida caribeña, 'manito.
NOAA does not show any changes of power or such on the evening update.
The Storm is standing on the same location, stirring up cooler waters and fighting high wind shear.
It's Thunderstorm areas are spread out, divided in 2 bigger areas, so it looks like it reforms it's shape to avoid to get killed by the wind shear.
In the morning we should see what size and shape the new formed Franklin Storm will be, what powers and in which direction it will move then.
AND, Where it finally positions it's Center when it starts to move. It is possible that the Center will then not show on the same position where it is marked now, those Bit.. sometimes "jump" on the map when regrouping their power areas, reforming their structure.
We will keep observing every move and change of it.

Now by 2AM, Franklin is in the middle of it's turn, already heading NNW on only a few mphr forward speed.
in the morning we should see it's def heading.
And it is getting it's shape back, still not a perfect form but after the turn stopped it will be a full storm shape again.
It's stagnant and humid as hell, zero breeze. You can cut the air with with a knife. Dreadful

Can't take your eyes off of Gert. She's sneaking up on us while we're watching Franklin.

This Franklin is indeed a very weird thing.
It is still barely moving forward, doing a few steps in different directions all night long.
Now it shows at 3mphrs West, but it is simply stationary, moving on the same spot back and forth.
And the strangest thing is that it does not get taken down by the wind shear, which been all the time present .
We just can sit and look and wait until it moves.
Tonight late night and until tomorrow afternoon should be the time for our rock 'n' roll dance on the Island.
All non swimmers: Keep your life jackets handy.

Gert is an other such strange thing.
It been running not very favorable conditions, but still out there, also very slow moving and despite the wind shear on it all the time.
I start thinking that this year's storms are no real Tropical Storms by Mother Nature,
But some artificially done things, Mutants of storms done in the laboratories of Putin or Trump, to test if they can use such as new powerful weapons, lol.

I'm not sure this thing will turn North, it might just wobble and go North East

It never been forecasted to go just North,
it is shown all the time as to move to NNE,
IF it starts to move one day.
As there is not enough sun power to run the 3HP pump on solar power,
I am running the Generator now to fill all tinacos to the top, just in case it would really get nastily windy.
Sweet country Life. While the generator and pump do their work, the boss has time to kill on the PS5 and preparing German Breakfast, of course liquid.
Then a ride to Higuey to see some friends at my Taller, so then hopefully Franklin will move and show a real timeline.
My best guess at this moment would be a landfall by Dan East of our Capital City, moving over land extremely slow and spreading out those rains and thunderstorms all over, specially over the East, as the powers of such moving storm are located on it's Eastern Sides.
It should take a minimum of 10 hrs from landfall until it leave's the Island on the NE near or right over Samana.
By its actual look we will get here on the Eastern Side (Hato Mayor, Higuey, my lil Conuco, Punta Cana) a full water load wash out for quiet some time.
But first we have to see it moving NNEwards.
Come on Franklin, come, blow, go and let us good people do our work again, now during low season we have to make some money, too, lol.

Just wanted to type "no rain here today" and wush, right now some is coming down with a good breeze.
Until a few minutes ago my morning was super calm, zero wind, no rain.
Yesterday and last night we had some strong showers, in reality exactly what I like for the Ranch, so all food for the animals grows well and the grass for the cows looks nice juicy green.

Here in Boca Chica it's been raining a lot since 3 AM or so. Forecast shows heavy rains today into the evening.
